Able Works equips individuals and families with the education, skills, and assets needed to overcome the challenges of poverty. They do this by offering financial literacy classes to high school students through Future Profits and helping young single mothers become financially self-sufficient through Liveable. Bay Area Anti-Trafficking Coalition (BAATC)

San Francisco Bay Area

Do you want to bring an end to modern-day slavery in the Bay Area and beyond?

BAATC is a partnership between over 50 organizations that provides individuals, churches, and nonprofits with best practices in sustaining the fight against human trafficking (modern day slavery) in the Bay Area and beyond. They do this by offering trainings on how to spot and respond to human trafficking around us, offering education around our consumption habits which may help or hinder further trafficking, and advocating for just policies on behalf of trafficking victims. Bayshore Christian Ministries (BCM)

East Palo Alto, Menlo Park

Do you have a desire to see vulnerable children succeed academically, emotionally, and spiritually?

BCM equips the youth of East Palo Alto and Belle Haven (East Menlo Park) to grow spiritually, gain life skills, and develop as leaders. They do so through a number of programs, including afterschool tutoring and Bible clubs for elementary school students as well as science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) enrichment and youth groups for middle school and high school students. Peninsula Literacy Coalition (PLC) is your first stop to see how you can get involved in helping children learn to read in your community. Their mission is to see every child in our community succeed at reading by engaging the community, championing the work of educators and literacy providers, and promoting the use of best practices.


Support Circle

Redwood City, San Francisco, and Oakland

Do you want to ensure that the unborn have a real chance at life and that mothers have a real choice?

Support Circle focuses on mitigating the negative effects of unintended pregnancies. They offer medical and counseling services for women along with insurance assistance, referrals, and resources for the partners of pregnant women. Volunteer here.
